Area Sales Manager / Industrial Applications

Job Description

As Area Sales Manager you focus on business development in close collaboration with the Research & Development department of SPGPrints. On a regular basis you discuss with them which global markets show growth potential and which products of SPGPrints used to serve these markets and/or expand our business footprint. A selection of the various markets for which SPGPrints supplies their industrial products: banknote/security printing, components for hygiene products (such as baby diapers) and hook & loop tape.

In this role as Area Sales Manager for the industrial applications of SPGPrints it is important to build and to maintain long-term customer relationships. You act in interesting but demanding niche markets. Your customers are located worldwide, from Asia to Europe and America. You report to the Commercial Manager Label Printing & Industrial Applications. 

Your tasks and responsibilities consist of:
 

  • Building relationships with (potential) customers worldwide within your industrial applications product portfolio;
  • Achieving the goals in accordance with the sales plan in terms of turnover, margin and growth;
  • Introducing, promoting, and selling the products from the industrial applications product portfolio;
  • Visiting and maintaining contact with (potential) customers on a frequent basis;
  • Making offers, considering the wishes and needs of customers, the sales tactics and delivery and payment conditions;
  • Alignment with the Research & Development department on a weekly basis;
  • Advising customers with technical knowledge;
  • Following relevant market development and anticipate on them;
  • Translating technical problems into commercial solutions;
  • Visiting trade shows and manage agents and distributors worldwide.

Your profile

  • Able to translate the wishes and needs of our customers into commercial opportunities because of your technical insight;
  • Affinity with manufacturing and industrial applications;
  • Technical or commercial bachelor degree;
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in an international environment;
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing and negotiation techniques;
  • Proactive attitude and taking initiatives;
  • Strong communicator who can interact with different people in the company in terms of languages, background, culture and seniority level;
  • Willing to travel internationally, approximately up to 50%.
