Most important benefits of pigment inks

Pigment ink is commonly used in various printing applications, including textiles, graphics, and industrial printing. It is suitable for a wide variety of fabrics, but especially on blends. Unlike dye-based inks that dissolve into the printing medium, pigment inks contain solid particles of colorants that are suspended in a liquid carrier. These colorants have a high light fastness to environmental factors, making pigment inks a popular choice for applications where durability and longevity are essential. The formulations of our pigment inks are optimized to ensure a long printhead life without the risk of corrosion or blockage of the printheads.

Pigment inks are capable of producing a wide color gamut and accurate color reproduction. This means they can capture a broad range of hues and shades with high color accuracy. Eliminating the need for steaming and washing, pigment inks are more sustainable by reducing water and energy usage.

In short, the 3 most important benefits are:

  • High light fastness
  • High durability and longevity
  • High color accuracy and wide gamut
