Application Specialist (location India, China or Pakistan)
Join us as an Application Specialist in the broader Asian region!
Guiding customers in transforming and upgrading their processes with the main goal to go work with SPGPrints equipment and consumables;
Supporting sales/product management in the development and further expansion of the products;
Technical elaboration and specification of new products and applications;
Interface between customers/market and SPGPrints as well as internal interface between commercial organization, production and R&D.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Developing new applications and products, and improving them at the request of customers and on our own initiative; all this in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
Technical partner of the Sales Manager and trusted advisor towards customers for the purpose of the application expectation and sales;
Manage, coordinate, plan and operate support of customer trials, demos, application trials and prototype testing;
Handling and resolving technical questions and complaints from both internal and external stakeholders;
Testing product concepts with regard to technological requirements and releases products technically;
Optimally translating market needs into products;
Business development and identifying cross selling opportunities from application perspective;
Conducting and supervising tests both internally and externally (including taking tests and organizing Beta sites). Provides registration, analysis and reporting of test results;
Supporting/initiating online and offline marketing activities (promotional materials, webinars, blogs);
Identifying and initiating improvements for the quality and delivery reliability of existing customers and potential customers;
Initiate and conduct trials to generate sales tools and to research new products;
Working in accordance with applicable standards in the field of quality, safety and the environment;
Initiating, developing and conducting internal sales training in consultation with commercial colleagues;
Improving, maintaining and transferring knowledge with regard to applications, raw materials, related processes and external developments by contacting and visiting customers and suppliers, visiting trade fairs and attending conferences;
Receiving, guiding and convincing (potential) customers at SPGPrints.
Bachelor work and thinking level;
Knowledge of relevant products and technologies;
Fluent in English;
Willingness to travel;
Work experience in a technical or chemical environment;
Extensive application knowledge;
Commercial knowledge to help influence the sales success with customers;
